Sunshine Meeting 2

SANTA ANA—Nearly 100 residents, business owners and city stakeholders attended the second Sunshine Meeting for the proposed Related Bristol development on Nov. 16, 2022, to learn about the 41-acre, mixed-use urban village and hear responses to community questions about the project on South Bristol Street.

Held at the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel, the meeting featured a panel of Related Bristol project team members who delivered a detailed presentation and then answered a series of questions from area residents, business owners, community stakeholders and city officials who attended the public gathering. Pursuant to the City of Santa Ana’s Sunshine Ordinance, the informational session was the second required community meeting about Related Bristol. The first was held in early September at nearby Saddleback High School in Santa Ana.

The Westin Hotel meeting opened with a formal presentation about the details and vision behind this proposed highly walkable mix of apartments, shops, restaurants, services, cafes, outdoor spaces and experiences right across from South Coast Plaza. Following the formal presentation, the panel, including Related California Chairman and CEO Bill Witte, President Gino Canori, Senior Vice President Steven Oh, and Executive Vice President of Design Phoebe Yee, answered audience questions about the project and its potential benefits and impact for the city and the region.

Related believes the project will become a new destination for community, culture and connection in the heart of Orange County.
