Related Bristol joined 300 Santa Ana community leaders to honor 13 outstanding scholar students from city schools at the 14th Annual Difference Makers luncheon. The Related team was honored to host Brandy Figueroa, a senior at Segerstrom High School who plans on attending Harvard University this fall. This was the second consecutive year Related has sponsored this event, presented by the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce, which celebrates student excellence and spotlights difference making leadership among the city's nonprofit organizations and businesses.

More than 150 county leaders and stakeholders attended the Orange County Forum’s luncheon as part of the new series: "Transforming OC” and listened to a panel discussion about Related Bristol’s unprecedented $500M package of economic and community benefits for the city and the region. As discussed by presenters and panelists, the development is likely to become a model of future growth in Orange County, where historically low vacancy rates and the soaring cost to buy a home has created a severe housing shortage in one of the nation’s most desirable places to live. Today's panelists included moderator Vikki Vargas, former veteran TV news reporter; Richard Green, Director and Chair, USC Lusk Center for Real Estate; Gino Canori, President Related California, and Bill Witte, Chairman/CEO Related California.

Related Bristol joined several dozen of the region's leading companies and businesses in sponsoring the Orange County Business Council's annual dinner. Every city in the county, including Santa Ana, benefits from a strong regional economy and OCBC's strong pro-business advocacy on initiatives and major projects, like Related Bristol in south Santa Ana. The 41-acre proposed mixed-use redevelopment project across from South Coast Plaza will ultimately create 7,500 jobs and generate nearly $3 billion in economic activity for the region.

For the second year in a row, Related Bristol was proud to be a sponsor of the 2024 Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast hosted by the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce at Templo Calvario Church with over 450 people in attendance. More than an annual event, Mayor Valerie Amezcua's Prayer Breakfast has become a beacon of positive change in Santa Ana, spotlighting the goodness and opportunity in Orange County's second largest city. This year she welcomed Pastor Steve Kim, co-founder of nonprofit Project Kinship, as the event's moving keynote speaker to share the importance of providing support networks and programs like his to help people in need transform their lives for the better.

The Daily Pilot, a widely circulated newspaper serving coastal and central Orange County, published a story about area cities and how they plan to produce more housing amid a statewide shortage. The story focuses on how Related Bristol along with other mixed-use projects will transform underutilized retail centers in south Santa Ana to create thriving residential and commercial space with shops, restaurants, services and much needed open space for outdoor activities. The Daily Pilot is part of the Times OC and the Los Angeles Times.

Celebrating food and culture, the 8th Annual Taste of Santa Ana attracted more than 1,700 attendees to Main Place Mall to sample specialty food bites and beverages from 45 restaurants, craft breweries and coffee houses. Related Bristol was a major sponsor of the event, the largest food-centric gathering annually in Santa Ana. Just like the Taste of Santa Ana, the visionary Related Bristol development will include a unique array of dining experiences as well as other neighborhood services to optimize outdoor living in the heart of Santa Ana's South Coast Metro neighborhood.

To help raise money for enrichment programs, classroom technology upgrades and to promote student fitness, Related Bristol was a proud sponsor of Santiago Elementary School's "Speedy's Fun Run" in Santa Ana. Related Bristol Executive Vice President, Steven Oh, and Santiago Elementary Principal, Kim Ahvari, cheered on many of the 950 students from pre-kindergarten to 8th grade who participated in the day-long festivities on campus. Health and wellness are core values of the visionary Related Bristol development.

The Orange County Register, the largest newspaper and media outlet based in Orange County, published a story about Related Bristol and its vision to redevelop an aging, 41-acre shopping center in south Santa Ana across from South Coast Plaza. The story appeared in the Register and one of its weekly papers, Coastal Current.

Related Bristol was a proud sponsor of the 2023 Fall Fundraiser for Hope Builders, the Santa Ana-based job training program which has graduated more than 6,000 students since 1995. The program was founded in response to increasing gang violence, high youth unemployment, low high school graduation rates and rising teen pregnancy rates.

For more than two decades, the DTSA Art Walk on the first Saturday of every month, has been a tradition that has attracted thousands of visitors to Santa Ana. Related Bristol joined dozens of sponsors and exhibitors for the recent August event to celebrate art, culture and food. Santa Ana is one of the oldest and most important cities historically in Orange County. The Related Bristol team was honored to join the "Centennial Celebration" of the Wilshire Square neighborhood as nearly 500 residents and city leaders gathered to dine and dance under a full moon in a lively display of community pride. Recognizing and preserving the history of Santa Ana and its 64 unique neighborhoods is what makes the 154-year-old city a special place to live, work and visit.

Arts, music and culture is celebrated the first Saturday of each month in Downtown Santa Ana and Related Bristol, along with the Girl Scouts of Orange County joined together to support and exhibit at the DTSA ArtWalk.
